| Notes: Soakwell Size 1. The values are based on 1 in 5 year storm and it is assumed that the soakwell base is above the groundwater table in clean sand at least 5m thick above impervious soil layer. 2. Capacity will be reduced accordingly where the groundwater table rises above the base, in which case soakwells may not be suitable. 3. This table is provided as a guide only and Council is not responsible for any damages from flooding due to the use of the values given in this table . 4. Values are based on concrete soakwells with angled holes around the sides (Concrete Louvred Soakwells). 5. A minimum clearance of 1.8m is required from soakwells to buildings and property boundaries. |
